Is Tesla's Reign Over?

Tesla has been the leading electric automotive manufacturer for almost a decade, but other companies have wanted a slice of Tesla's half-billion dollar pie for a while - and they may have just taken it. Rivian and Lucid Motors are two companies that have caught my attention through their impressive and initial high-quality cars. The R1T has an impressive range of 300 miles, substantial off-road capability, and many other features that are not found on any other car - electric or not. The price seems a bit high starting at $67,500 when the Cybertruck will start at an alleged price of $39,990 for 250 miles of range. While I have not had the opportunity to see the R1T in real life, from what I could gather online, it seems to have much better fit and finish than Tesla, and the interior is a bit more like a traditional luxury SUV. Tesla still makes great cars and I'm sure they are not going anywhere soon, but the lock they had on the market is fading as new EV's are being released by almost every car company, pushed along by carbon emissions quotas. This will make EV's more exciting as competition pushes innovation and lowers prices, both of which are good for the consumer.
